Creamy Honey Mustard Chicken

Creamy Honey Mustard Chicken: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This chicken was absolutely amazing. The creamy honey mustard sauce and the crunchy bacon paired so well together. It got rave reviews by all and I was even asked for a copy of the recipe. This was one chicken I was excited to have for leftovers.

Creamy Honey Mustard Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 level tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3 ounce bag real bacon bits

Directions:

  1. In a large shallow dish, stir together the honey, mustard, garlic and oil.
  2. Coat the chicken breasts in the sauce.
  3. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook just until the chicken begins to brown, about 3 minutes. Flip the chicken over and cook on the other side just until it begins to brown, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining honey mustard sauce and the half and half to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally and cook until the chicken is completely cooked, about 3 minutes. Remove the chicken and keep warm.
  5. Combine the cornstarch and water until well combined. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Place the chicken back in the skillet and coat both sides with the sauce. Top with the bacon bits.
Enjoy!!!
