S'mores Ice Cream

Savory Sweet and Satisfying: S'mores Ice Cream

Do you like s'mores? Do you like ice cream? Then you will love this delicious combination. All the yummy goodness of s'mores in a creamy ice cream.

The key to this ice cream is toasting the marshmallows. I was surprised at how well I could taste the toasted marshmallows in this ice cream.

S'mores Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 whole graham crackers, crumbled
  • 1 large Hershey bar, chopped

Directions:

  1. Place a silpat on a baking sheet and place marshmallows on the silpat. Place the marshmallows under the broiler for about 3 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted (watch them carefully so they do not burn). Remove from oven and cool.
  2. In a large bowl combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar and vanilla. Mix until the sugar is dissolved. Pour into your ice cream maker and churn according to directions.
  3. When ice cream is almost done, about 5 minutes left, add in the graham crackers and chocolate. Tear the marshmallows into pieces and add in as well. Let the ice cream finish churning. Scoop into a freezer safe container and freeze.
Enjoy!!!
