Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts

Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

Holy smokes is this chicken incredibly delicious. I can't wait to make it again. There is enough sauce to drizzle over the chicken before serving and there is still some leftover to drizzle over vegetables or you could even serve the chicken and sauce over rice. To make this chicken even better it is ready from start to finish in about 15 minutes, you read that right, 15 minutes. Delicious chicken that does not take a lot of time to make is my kind of chicken.

Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, about 1 pound
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3.5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey

Direction:

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally, to create 4 thin chicken breasts.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breast with black pepper.
  3. Place the flour in a shallow bowl.
  4. In a large skillet, over high heat, melt the butter, reserving about 1 teaspoon unmelted butter for later.
  5. Place a chicken breast into the flour and lightly press down so the flour sticks. Flip the chicken over and again lightly press down so the flour sticks.
  6. Shake off the excess flour and place into the skillet. Repeat the flour process with the other chicken breasts.
  7. Cook the chicken for about 2-3 minutes or until golden.
  8. Turn the chicken over and cook on the other side for 1 minute.
  9. Turn the heat down to medium-high.
  10. Slide the chicken breast to the outer edge of the pan and place the reserved teaspoon of butter into the middle of the pan.
  11. Once the butter has melted add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  12. Add in the vinegar, soy sauce and honey. Stir and shake the pan to combine the ingredients.
  13. Bring the sauce to a simmer and then simmer for 1 minute or until the sauce has slightly thickened.
  14. Turn the chicken over to coat in the sauce.
  15. Serve the chicken and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
Enjoy!!!

Notes:
If the sauce gets to thick, stir in a little bit of water to thin out the sauce.
