These nachos are the perfect snack anytime of the day. Crunchy tortilla chips topped with cheddar cheese and a creamy cheese sauce filled with bacon and jalapeños. Absolutely delicious!
Jalapeño Bacon Nachos
Ingredients:
- tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- black pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese
- 3 jalapeños, seeded and diced
- 1 cup crumbled cooked turkey bacon
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375º F.
- Spread desired amount of tortilla chips onto baking sheet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- While the chips and cheese are baking, melt the butter over medium heat in a small saucepan.
- Whisk in the flour and black pepper.
- Slowly add in milk while stirring. Continue to stir until thick and bubbly. Continue to stir and cook for 1 more minute.
- Remove saucepan from heat and add in cream cheese, stirring until completely melted and mixed.
- Stir in jalapeños and bacon.
- Pour sauce over chips and cheese when they are done baking.
