Skillet Pasta Roma


This dish is good in so many ways. Besides being delicious and flavorful, it is fairly easy to make and best of all it is cooked all in one skillet. Can it get any better than that!?


Skillet Pasta Roma

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound hot Italian Sausage
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 3- 14 1/2 ounce cans diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
  • 8 ounce can no salt added tomato sauce
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 12 ounces spiral pasta
  • parmesan cheese, shredded

Directions:

  1. Remove the sausage from casing, crumble into bite sized pieces and put into a large skillet. Cook sausage until brown.
  2. Add in onion and garlic, cooking until onion is soft. Drain, if needed.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and pasta.
  4. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer keep covered and cook for 25 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
