Lemon Green Beans

Savory Sweet and Satisfying: Lemon Green Beans

If you like easy and flavorful side dishes, then this dish is for you. These green beans are so light and refreshing. They are infused with a whole lot of lemon flavor and super easy to make.

Lemon Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 large lemon, zest and juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Fill a medium pot half full with water. Bring the water to a full boil, add green beans, reduce heat to a gentle simmer and cook the green beans for about 5 minutes or until they are just tender crisp.
  2. Drain the green beans.
  3. Add olive oil to same pot and heat. When oil is hot add the green beans, then add the lemon juice and season with pepper.
  4. Cook the green beans for 1 minute, stirring a few times.
  5. Remove the green beans from pot and garnish with lemon zest.
