Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

 Homemade Teriyaki Sauce: Savory Sweet and Satisfying

This teriyaki sauce was so delicious and flavorful. It was by far the best teriyaki sauce I have ever had. Even better it is very easy to make and does not require any special ingredients.

Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and black pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. While waiting for sauce to boil combine cornstarch and cold water, mixing until cornstarch and water are completely mixed.
  4. When sauce comes to a full boil, add cornstarch and water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens and is bubbly.
  5. Remove from the heat.
  6. Can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
